Shōgun episode 7 “A Stick of Time” is set to release on Hulu and FX on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The seventh episode of the 10-part miniseries will pick up right where Shōgun episode 6 “Ladies of the Willow World” left off after Ochiba-no-kata and Lord Ishido worked together to thwart Lord Toranaga. With only three more episodes left of the acclaimed miniseries following Shōgun episode 7, the celebrated show will air its final episode on April 23, 2024, in what is poised to be an explosive season finale.
Shōgun episode 6 saw Lord Toranaga, who is greatly concerned about an impending war on Osaka he refers to as Crimson Sky, picking up on an under-the-surface romantic entanglement that is forming between Mariko and Blackthorne. He instructs Mariko to accompany Hatamoto Blackthorne to a brothel where he meets the courtesan Lady Kiku at Willow World. Shōgun episode 6 also reveals that Ochiba-no-kata’s backstory is intertwined with Lady Mariko’s tragic family past and the two were once close childhood friends.
Shogun Episode 7 Releases At 12 AM PT On Hulu & 10 PM On FX
Similar to the schedule of previous Shōgun episodes, Shōgun episode 7 “A Stick of Time” will be released on Hulu at midnight on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The episode will become available at midnight in every United States time zone, so those on Pacific Time will have to wait until midnight PT to watch the highly-anticipated episode. As always, new episodes of Shōgun will air on FX every Tuesday night at 10 PM ET/PT for cable subscribers.

How Many Episodes Shogun Has Left
Following the release of Shōgun episode 7 “A Stick of Time”, the acclaimed series only has three more episodes left before its season 1 finale. Since there has been no official word on the status of Shōgun season 2, Shōgun season 1 will likely end in a conclusive manner in the event that the show ends up being just a miniseries. Following Blackthorne’s experience at Willow World, Shōgun episode 7 should further explore the complicated secret dynamic between him and Mariko. It should also chronicle Ochiba-no-kata’s plans to defeat Lord Toranaga and could even feature the “Crimson Sky” Siege of Osaka that Toranaga had alluded to in Shōgun episode 6.
