Pedro Pascal’s New Movie Copies His Game Of Thrones Death 10 Years Later (& It’s Just As Shocking)

Pedro Pascal’s latest movie role completely copies his Game of Thrones character’s death, but it still manages to be incredibly shocking.

Pedro Pascal‘s latest role takes clear inspiration from his Game of Thrones character’s death, but despite the similarities, it still manages to deliver unbelievable shock value. Pascal is best known for his roles as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, Whiskey in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and Mando in The Mandalorian. Despite already having seen massive success in his career, February 2024 has been one of the most exciting months in Pascal’s acting journey. He has gained massive recognition for playing Joel Miller in The Last of Us, earning him numerous awards show nominations, and wins.

2024 continues to prove to be a great year for Pedro Pascal, as he has three major films coming out. Freaky Tales, was released in January, Drive-Away Dolls was released in February, and Gladiator 2 is set to release in November. Within these three movies, one of his roles is eerily similar to his Game of Thrones one, leaving viewers with a sense of déjà vu.

Pedro Pascal’s Drive-Away Dolls Character Dies Almost Exactly Like Oberyn Martell

The horrific moment is instantly reminiscent of Game of Thrones .

In Drive-Away Dolls, Pedro Pascal’s character, Santos, dies in an incredibly similar manner to Game of Thrones‘ Oberyn Martell. Santos’ eyes are brutally gouged out with someone’s thumbs in the opening scene of Drive-Away Dolls, and the horrific moment is instantly reminiscent of Game of Thrones. In Game of Thrones, Pascal’s character also has his eyes gouged out by Gregor. This is certainly a unique way for a character to die, so it is clear that Drive-Away Dolls wanted to intentionally include a nod to one of Pascal’s most well-known roles.

Pedro Pascal’s Drive-Away Dolls Cameo Is His Wildest Movie Role Since Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Pedro Pascal in Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Not only is Pedro Pascal’s Drive-Away Dolls cameo a reminder of his role in Game of Thrones, but it’s also his wildest part in a while. His last “out there” character was in Kingsman: The Golden Circle. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Pascal took on a role that was significantly different from the ones he had played in the past. He was a flamboyant and over-the-top cowboy, complete with a Stetson hat, a whip, and a Southern drawl. When contrasted to the refined British gentleman that is Kingsman, Pascal’s role seems especially odd.

While the part is definitely on the weirder side, it does go to show how large of a range Pedro Pascal truly has as an actor.

Pedro Pascal’s part in Drive-Away Dolls feels like the second out-of-the-box part he has decided to take on. In the project, he has quite an unconventional role that leaves viewers scratching their heads. He is terribly and shockingly killed right in the opening scene and then spends the rest of Drive-Away Dolls as a decapitated head. While the part is definitely on the weirder side, it does go to show how large of a range Pedro Pascal truly has as an actor.
