Nicki Minaj has suggested that she’ll be hitting the studio to do a remix of “FTCU” from Pink Friday 2.
In a now-deleted post which appeared on her profile on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (January 3), the rapper teased that her remix could feature a male rapper. She then asked her Barbz to decide who it would be.
“If there were a male rapper featured on the 3rd verse of “FTCU,” who would be your guess? #PinkFriday2,” she wrote.

The superstar dropped her highly anticipated album on December 8, and it immediately began making headlines thanks to what appeared to be shots at her perceived female rap rivals, including Megan Thee Stallion and Latto.
On the track “FTCU,” Nicki appears to take aim at Megan, who she’s rumored to have fallen out with, by referencing Tory Lanez and Iggy Azalea.
“Stay in your Tory lane, bitch, I’m not Iggy,” she warns over speaker-rattling, trap-flavored production from ATL Jacob.
Megan and Iggy previously had an issue in 2019 over a failed collaboration, but the miscommunication was quickly cleared up.
Iggy Azalea was also rumored to be dating Tory last year and recently wrote a letter of support for him in his shooting case against Meg.
The apparent diss didn’t go unnoticed by fans, with many taking to social media to share their reactions.
“Lmao yes… she slapped Megan thee Stallion several times.. told that horse to stay in #ToryLanez meaning stay where you been dicking riding coins.. lmao SICKENING!! #FREETORYLANEZ lmao Nicki ate her up thru out the album!! FINALLY,” one X user wrote.
“nicki minaj is so obsessed with this one sided rap beef with megan. girl worry about yo man beeping ankle and the fact he cant take your son to school,” another said, referencing her husband Kenneth Petty’s house arrest.
Someone else wrote: “That Megan diss was tooo nasty wtf did she do to Nicki I need to know.”
Despite all the controversy drummed up by the track, and others, Charlamagne Tha God has said that Nicki Minaj‘s rollout for Pink Friday 2 fell short of his expectations.
“I hate that this album didn’t have a bigger rollout. We knew it was coming out, but it’s Nicki Minaj,” he said on the December 8 episode of The Breakfast Club. “Whoever she’s signed to…Nicki needed and deserved a bigger rollout. She got records on this album. Why wouldn’t a single come out? Why wouldn’t a big video come out?”
He continued: “The label in general should have had a bigger plan for a Nicki Minaj album. I am sick of big artists dropping and there’s no rollout. […] Labels have to stop relying on artists and their social media followings to get the word out.”
