The comedian answered the request in the most Katt Williams way.
Katt Williams has issued a hilarious response to Nicki Minaj‘s request to open for her on the Pink Friday 2 World Tour.
“Nicki Minaj said she wanted me on her tour and she told so many people, a million people hit my phone at the same time,” he joked on Sunday (March 3) during the Charlotte stop of his Dark Matter Tour. “It scared me and Jesus. He shut all of AT&T down so my phone could cool off on the charger.” Williams was referencing the recent AT&T outage that took place in late February.
Days prior, Minaj took to Instagram Live to ask “the busiest man in show business” if he’d join her on tour. “I know that he’s rich, and I know that he’s the funniest man in showbiz. Can ya’ll hit up Katt Williams and ask him what would be his price… to be a part of the Pink Friday 2 Gag City Tour?”
The comedian hasn’t fully accepted nor rejected the offer to join her tour, but is currently on the road with both Torrei Hart and Mo’Nique.
The Pink Friday 2 World Tour kicked off at the top of March in Oakland. The Queens-bred rapper will be hitting major cities including Toronto, Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Chicago before the international leg begins in late May.
Monica is set to join Minaj on tour domestically in select cities and shared the news on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
“I’m really grateful for Nicki, because she’s one of those people that has always said ‘Monica meant everything to my childhood,’ and some people, they act like they forget,” explained the “So Gone” singer. “So, it’s pretty cool to not be forgotten and to be called for things like such. So, we ‘gon show up and show out.”
