Finally! The wait for season 2 of the Netflix original is over, as Anthony (played by Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (played by Simone Ashley) take centre stage. The story begins with Anthony courting Kate’s sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran), before realising his deep connection with her older sibling.
*Spoilers* Eventually, Anthony and Edwina’s wedding is called off, and he and Kate give into their desires – although noticeably much less frequently than Daphne Bridgerton and The Duke from season one.
Fans have noticed that during the sex scene, Anthony kisses Kate on the neck, in the exact place where she was stung by a bee in an earlier episode. This is significant because not only was her bee sting in the Bridgerton’s garden one of the first times Anthony and Kate shared a ~moment~, but it also links back to how Anthony’s father died (from a bee sting) and his desire to protect Kate.

“Anthony kissing the spot where Kate was stung by the bee *screams into a pillow*,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Omg I just remembered it’s where she got stung I was so caught up in the moment lmfaooo [sic]”
Someone else said, “Real romance right there” and “This scene is perfection.”
That’s reason enough to watch it all again.
Bridgerton season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
