Regé-Jean Page is set to star opposite Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett in the Focus Feature thriller Black Bag, directed by Steven Soderbergh. David Koepp penned the script with Casey Silver and Greg Jacobs producing.
Plot details are being kept under wraps other then it being described as a spy thriller. Deadline broke the news last month that Focus had landed the hot package after it hit the market and the plan is to shoot this spring.
Following his breakout role in the Netflix hit series Bridgerton, Page has risen the ranks of young leading men with studios lining up to get in business with the Emmy nominated actor. Besides Bridgerton, he was recently seen in Paramount’s Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as well as the Netflix action pic The Gray Man.
He is also currently set to star in Paramount’s reboot of The Saint with Doug Liman recently signing on to direct. He is repped by CAA, The Artists Partnership in the UK and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
